As the calendar turns to June, the attention of the college baseball world turns to NCAA postseason play and the drive toward the College World Series.
Simultaneous with what's happening on the field is the free-agency market off the field. The NCAA transfer portal for college baseball is open from June 2 through July 1 for non-graduate transfers. Players who want to transfer and be eligible right away at a new school don't have to pick a new school during the portal period, but they must have their names entered during that window.
There are a couple of exceptions. Players who have graduated may have their names entered into the portal at any time, and players affected by a head-coaching change also have extra time outside the June
