SEATTLE — Alaska Airlines announced Tuesday it will start offering a nonstop flight to Rome next year.
It’s the first nonstop flight from Seattle to Italy, and Rome is the largest European destination that’s not currently served with nonstop service from Seattle, according to the Seattle-based airline.
“Rome has been at the top of the list ever since we announced our new global gateway out of Seattle,” Alaska Airlines CEO Ben Minicucci said in a statement. “Our guests have been asking for an easy way to get to Italy for years, and we’re thrilled to provide it to people in the Northwest and beyond.”
Flights will begin in May 2026, and tickets go on sale beginning this fall. Alaska plans to offer a 6 p.m. flight to Rome on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. A return flight to Seatt
