Following Trump’s recent visit to the United Arab Emirates to announce new trade deals, the family of American hostage Zack Shahin, who was arrested, detained, and later kidnapped by Dubai State Security, is urging Trump to personally advocate for his release. Trump visited with the president of the UAE during his Middle East trip in May and announced $200 billion in new trade deals with the country.
In a statement shared exclusively with MeidasTouch News , Shahin’s family said they believe Trump would act if he were made fully aware of the case and that Shahin's physical and mental health has been declining. He was diagnosed with early stages of dementia last year.
