CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle Tuesday night in south Charlotte, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Charlotte police said on Tuesday, June 3, that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the exit of I-485 and South Blvd.

Police said the exit going into Pineville was closed.

At the time of this writing police did not identify the person who was killed or how the vehicle crash may have occurred.
