LEBANON, Maine — A man wanted in New Hampshire was taken into custody late Tuesday night after authorities tracked him to a residence in Lebanon, Maine.

John Patrick Bauer was arrested without incident on May 27 by the York County Sheriff’s Department, following several days of investigation that pointed to his location, according to a press release issued by the New Hampshire Department of Corrections.

Bauer was wanted for a probation violation stemming from a domestic violence conviction, the release stated.

Bauer will be charged as a fugitive from justice in Maine, officials said. Once that matter is resolved, he is expected to be extradited to New Hampshire, where he faces multiple charges.
