Two additional measles cases were confirmed in Michigan this week, bringing the total to 10 measles cases in the state so far this year, officials said.
The Marquette County Health Department confirmed the latest cases of measles Monday, the first on May 30 and the second on June 2.
This coincides with what Michigan health officials are calling one of the worst years for measles in decades in Michigan, and a national surge in the virus that has caused three deaths since last May.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services confirmed the first case in the state in Oakland County in March.
