The Rural Municipality of Stuartburn has implemented a complete burn ban.

It says the level three ban became effective on Tuesday, and means no burning is permitted including in recreational fire pits and containers. Back country travel and fireworks are also prohibited.

Meanwhile, some areas of southern Manitoba have lifted their burn bans in recent weeks, thanks to some precipitation and other favourable conditions.

These include the RM of De Salaberry, Hanover, and Richot.
