Smoke from Canadian wildfires is blowing across the Atlantic into Europe, but is unlikely to affect air quality, and may cause hazy skies and dramatic sunrises and sunsets. The smoke was first detected in Europe on May 18 near Greece and the eastern Mediterranean, and a second, larger plume was recorded on June 1 in northwestern Europe.
