FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — It’s been about a month and a half since the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority launched the long-awaited South Coast Rail, but the launch was not as smooth as MBTA hoped.
Thursday night in Fall River, the MBTA and its partner Keolis will hear from residents about their concerns.
The roll out of the South Coast Rail has seen train cancellations in March and April due to lower staffing.
That led to passengers being stranded at their stations, with few transportation options.
In April, residents in Berkley gathered at town hall to voice concerns about how much noise the trains were making in the middle of the night.
Thursday, the MBTA and Keolis will hear from those residents and provide updates on staffing issues, weekend cancellations and horn noise.
