Weather maps from WX Charts indicate the mercury rising into the high-20s and even 30C on Wednesday, June 18.

Weather charts have turned orange and red, signalling the arrival of the hotter weather.

The West Midlands, Greater London, Kent and South Yorkshire are set to peak at 30C, according to wxcharts.com.

While large swathes of central England are set to swelter in 27C, illustrated by shades of orange.
