Another day, another loss.

Though this time the offense wasn’t terrible, I guess.

Kumar Rocker continues to frustrate in 2025.

Take this game. Rocker threw 66 pitches. The Rays swung at 37 of them, and missed 16 of those swings.

16 swings and misses in 66 pitches! A 43% whiff rate! That’s really good!

Except when the Rays made contact, they did some damage. Brandon Lowe homered in the first off of a changeup, then doubled in the third to bring home Josh Lowe, who had doubled ahead of him. Rocker had a chance to get out of the third with just a pair of runs home in the inning, but he botched a play covering first with two outs in the inning, and the result was that a pair of runs scored, making it a 5-0 game.
