David Reingold, Indiana University’s first chancellor since 2006 , started his role on June 2.

Described as the “CEO of the campus,” Reingold will be responsible for IU Bloomington’s finance and administration, community engagement, enrollment management, student life, and research and creative activities on campus. He will serve under IU President Pamela Whitten; Bloomington Provost Rahul Shrivastav will report to Reingold.

Before assuming the position, Reingold was the dean of the liberal arts college and senior vice president for policy planning at Purdue University. There, he piloted programs that increased the “value proposition” of a Purdue Liberal arts degree, including an accelerated dual-degree program.
