TECUMSEH, MI – A Tecumseh man was found shot in the face just after midnight early Thursday morning.

Police were called at 12:19 a.m. Thursday, June 5, to a home in the 9000 block of N. Union Street in Tecumseh for a reported gunshot victim, according to the Tecumseh Police Department.

Officers arrived and found a man suffering a gunshot wound to his right cheek. Emergency crews provided first aid at the scene before taking him to Trinity Hospital in Ann Arbor for treatment, police said.

The man is currently listed in serious but stable condition, police said.

The preliminary investigation indicates the man was shot at 12:15 a.m. in the area of S. Evans and Pottawatamie Streets, more than a mile away from where the man was found. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unclear a
