ANN ARBOR, MI — Like almost everything amid the pandemic, Ann Arbor Public Schools’ community education, recreation camps and classes took a major hit.
Officials say program participation, now under a new director, is on its way back up.
Sean Williams, a district community division staffer for 24 years, began working in the Rec & Ed director position in March, following predecessor Donnan Dishman’s retirement.
It’s a transition for him that made a lot of sense and was plenty of fun, he said, especially as they ramped up preparation for summer programs like several new camps and classes for local kids.
