CANYON, Texas (KFDA) - Ruben heads to Canyon where he visits a leather crafter who has been crafting for over 7 decades.

Howard Morris, owner of Howard’s “Get R Done” Leather Shop, says he started doing leather work in about 1952.

In 2008, he bought his current building and moved his stuff over.

“I retired so I kind of went at it a little more than the hobby that I’d done all those years,” said Morris. “Well, I just like to do it.”

Morris says he doesn’t charge as much as other leather crafters do.

“But I’d rather make a bunch and make the same amount of money as make it a little bit and making the same because I enjoy doing it,” said Morris.

The main thing is that it helps people and helps him stay busy.
