MATTHEWS, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A Matthews man is facing serious charges after police said he kidnapped and assaulted a woman earlier this week.
Logan William Calaway was arrested on Wednesday, June 4, and is currently being held without bond at the Mecklenburg County Jail.
According to Matthews Police, Calaway is accused of forcibly taking a woman against her will, causing her physical harm, and repeatedly stalking her in the days leading up to the incident.
The charges include felony second-degree kidnapping, felony assault by strangulation, and misdemeanor stalking.
Investigators said Calaway confined and moved the woman without her consent. According to court documents, he allegedly wrapped his forearm around her neck, causing visible bruises.
Authorities said the suspect also
