After their homestand against both New York teams, the Dodgers hit the road to face the Cardinals beginning Friday night at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, the start of a six-game road trip.

The Cardinals, after missing the playoffs the previous two years, were five games under .500 as late as May 2, but are now six games over, going 19-8 in their last 27 games entering Thursday. That has them in second place in the National League Central, and in the thick of wild card contention.

The Dodgers have not named a starting pitcher for the opener in St. Louis, but with Yoshinobu Yamamoto getting a fifth day of rest to start on Saturday, that means Friday will either be a bullpen game or someone will be called up to fill innings. Justin Wrobleski is scheduled to start Friday for Triple-A Oklah
