HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - The Beshear administration is advocating for ‘Pre-K 4 All’, an initiative designed to advance the commonwealth’s early childhood education system.

Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman and Rocky Adkins, senior advisor to Gov. Andy Beshear, joined local officials and community members to share more about the initiative in Perry County.

Officials say no matter a child’s family background or where they live, every child should have the same opportunity for success.

Many say that early success starts with early childhood education, such as pre-school. The ‘Pre-K 4 All’ initiative could bring that to more children in Kentucky.

“It’s the right decision for our kids, it’s the right decision for our families, and really it’s just the right decision for our future,” said Carrie Balli
