Sky Sports pundit Alan Smith believes Leeds United will need more than Newcastle United pair Nick Pope and Callum Wilson to compete in the Premier League next season.
It is no secret the Whites have enquired about Pope's availability as they look to bring in a new No 1. Sources in the North East have indicated the England international wants to stay and fight for a starting spot at St James' Park .
Experienced striker Wilson has also been heavily linked with a move to Elland Road in recent weeks. United are expected to recruit a number of players between now and when the summer transfer window shuts on September 1.
