DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — Nighttime resurfacing of State Route 67 (SR-67) will began in Decatur on Sunday, June 8.
The Alabama Department of Transportation will began the work along SR-67 and Beltline Road on the evening of Sunday, June 8., as long as the weather allows for the work to be completed.
Crews will resurface nearly five miles of SR-67 from US-31/Sixth Avenue Southeast to SR-24/Gordon Terry Parkway.
Drivers should expect lane closures from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly, Sunday nights through Thursday nights. A minimum of one lane in each direction will remain open.
During the first phase of the project, contractors will mill and pave SR-67 from US-31 to Danville Road only.
Once that segment is completed, the contractor will resurface the remaining segment from Danville Road to SR-2
