A 42-year-old man died early Friday after he was shot in the back at a Brooklyn street corner, officials said.

Cops were searching for the gunman responsible for the 1:50 a.m. shooting at the corner of Rockaway Parkway and Avenue N in Canarsie.

The victim was nearing the corner when shots were fired, police said.

First responders called to the scene found the victim conscious with a gunshot wound to the back, officials said.

EMS rushed him to Brookdale University Medical Center , where he died. His name wasn’t released as cops track down relatives.

The gunman ran off.

Cops were scouring the area looking for surveillance footage that could help them identify the shooter.
