A West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's deputy was fired this week, after she was arrested in Baton Rouge in a domestic disturbance incident, a sheriff's office spokesperson said.

The sheriff's office was notified by Baton Rouge police on Tuesday that they were investigating a domestic disturbance in Baton Rouge involving Delicia Alfred, a WBRSO deputy.

Alfred was arrested and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a count of battery of a dating partner and child endangerment.

Alfred was part of the uniform patrol division of the West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office and had been employed there since June 2021, said Lt. Landon Groger.

"Alfred has since been terminated from employment," he said.
