HAILEY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Blaine County Board of Commissioners recently purchased a new software program that can assess potential wildfire risks to homes in the Wood River Valley.
“We’re really concerned at Blaine County about a fire risk,” said Commissioner Angenie McCleary.
The software program, called “Wuuii,” was approved for purchase at $200 per month. It will allow residents to assess the potential wildfire risks to their homes using an app.
“What it allows homeowners to do is do their own self-assessments by taking pictures, by using a prepopulated database,” said Chris Corwin. “Not only will it look at the construction materials of the house, but it will also look at the vegetation of the house, furniture around the house and other things that could potentially cause a fi
