Porsche just revealed the one-off 963 RSP, a Le Mans racer with a licence plate on it

The LMDh-derived hypercar has a 4.6L twin-turbocharged V8 making about 680 hp

The “RSP” initials in the name refer to the car’s owner, “The Captain,” Roger Penske

It’s good to be king—or, at least, to be The Captain. Porsche has gone ahead and made what is essentially a road-going version of its mighty 963 LMDh race car for none other than renowned motorsports icon Roger Penske. Called the Porsche 963 RSP (and, yes, those are Penske’s initials right in the official model name of this beast) it is meant as a call-back to the mighty 917K of the ’70s , another Le Mans racer
