MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- An appreciation day that was hosted by a local retirement community on Friday focused on showing gratitude to first responders for the work they do.

There is a multitude of stories from those at Trezevant, a retirement community, when it comes to why they are so appreciative of the men and women who often come to their rescue.
