DULUTH, Minn. & ST. PAUL, Minn. – Governor Tim Walz today announced the appointment of Daniel Hawley as a District Court Judge in Minnesota’s Ninth Judicial District.
Hawley’s chambers will be in Aitkin in Aitkin County.
Hawley is replacing the Honorable Erik J. Askegaard.
In a news release Governor Walz said, “(Hawley has had a) distinguished career, marked by a breadth of experience across diverse areas of the law, will undoubtedly bring depth, balance, and fairness to the people of Aitkin County.”
Minnesota’s Ninth Judicial District encompasses Aitkin, Beltrami, Cass, Clearwater, Crow Wing, Hubbard, Itasca, Kittson, Koochiching, Lake of the Woods, Mahnomen, Marshall, Norman, Pennington, Polk, Red Lake, and Roseau Counties.
