KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The University of Tennessee's pedestrian bridge at the 11th Street Garage is closed after the school said crews found structural concerns during repair work.

UT said it's working with a general contractor and design firm to evaluate the situation. A comprehensive structural analysis was scheduled to find out the next steps, school officials said.

Signage is installed, and alternate pedestrian routes have been created, according to UT.

UT Parking and Transportation has reallocated parking spaces on campus to accommodate ADA permit holders, the university said.
