SOCASTEE, S.C. (WBTW) -- A pursuit that led Horry County police to disable a vehicle on Socastee Boulevard Wednesday night came after a female patient at a Myrtle Beach doctor's office allegedly assaulted a man and stole his car, documents show.
Melissa Hakoun was arrested after police deflated the tires of the vehicle on Socastee Boulevard. As of Friday afternoon, she remained in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on a $3,147 bond after being charged with grand larceny, third-degree assault and battery, driving under suspension and failure to stop for a blue light.
