AUSTIN (KXAN) — For almost 70 years, the baseball fields at Delwood Sports Complex have been a place where the community has gathered to enjoy games.

"We are a city of Austin park, and the city provides the facilities for us, then we put in a lot of the work," Ross Pry, co-president of Delwood Sports Complex, said.

After recent severe weather, the fields and facilities near Mueller were damaged, and now some of the fields are off-limits.

"Unfortunately, we are out of commission for a while until we can get clearance from the city and get them to help us really do a lot of this work," Pry said.

Pry said following the recent storm, they had a large group of volunteers show up to clean up the debris, but some of the damage will have to be repaired.
