LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - School may be out for summer, but some Jefferson County Public Schools cafeterias are still up and running for the district’s Summer Food Service Program.
Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) is offering free meals at 119 sites across Jefferson County every weekday through July 25.
“We have many of our students throughout JCPS that maybe have food insecurities,” Dr. Marty Pollio, JCPS superintendent, said.
Free lunches will be available to children 18 and under at 38 mobile stops and 10 of the district’s community partner locations. Free hot breakfasts and lunches will be served at 68 school sites.
