RAMSEY − It was déjà vu on the diamond for the Jefferson softball team.
But this time, Kama Skrek made sure the Falcons came out ahead.
The Falcons stormed into Ramsey's home field on Friday and walked away with a 7-0 victory, securing their second sectional title in three seasons. The win was especially sweet, coming in the same place where Ramsey stunned Jefferson with a walk-off victory in last year's final.
Skrek continued a stellar senior season by striking out eight in a two-hit shutout. Coming into the final, she had allowed just 11 earned runs in 138.1 innings this season, boasting a 0.56 ERA.
Jefferson went up 1-0 in the second inning and scored four more runs in the third. Kylie Plunkett went 1 for 4 with a two-run single in the win. Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily
