DES MOINES, Iowa —

A popular outdoor concert series is happening this weekend outside of Hoyt Sherman Place.

The annual Music Under the Stars series used to be held at the Iowa Statehouse. Now, it will rotate between Hoyt Sherman Place and Water Works Park.

The event is put on by the Des Moines Metro Concert Band and the Des Moines Metro Big Band.

The first concert is 7 p.m. Sunday. They'll be performing "Pirate Songs and Love Songs" and it's free to attend.
