Frankfort advanced to its second baseball state tournament championship game in as many years by piling up eight runs in its final two at-bats to top Fairmont Senior 13-5 in the WVSSAC Class AAA semifinals at GoMart Ballpark on Friday.

Uriah Cutter had two hits and drove in two runs for the Falcons (23-8), who won last year’s Class AA title. Lane Lease had two hits and knocked in three RBIs.

Blake Jacobs and Gunnar Bradshaw produced two RBIs apiece.

Jacobs, Jaxon Hare, Rhett Sensabaugh, Cutter and Braydn Tyler tallied two runs each for the Falcons.

Lanson Orndorf got the win, working a complete game and recording five strikeouts and one walk. He allowed seven hits.
