The third and final leg of the Triple Crown has arrived with the 157th running of the Belmont Stakes taking place June 7 with a $2 million purse up for grabs.

The matchup to watch is between Sovereignty and Journalism, the winners of the first two legs of the Triple Crown.

Sovereignty won the Kentucky Derby over Journalism by 1 1/2 lengths. Two weeks later, it was Journalism's turn as they were victorious in the Preakness Stakes, with Sovereignty notably absent from the race, ending any chance of the first Triple Crown winner since Justify in 2018.
