A Tornado Watch is in effect for much of Arkansas this morning, including central, northern, and northwest areas, until noon. A strong line of storms is pushing through northwest Arkansas and is expected to reach central Arkansas between 10 and 11 a.m. The main concern is damaging winds, but isolated tornadoes and flash flooding, especially in northcentral Arkansas, can’t be ruled out.

The Arkansas Storm Team has issued an Alert Day for this morning. The severe risk has been bumped up to medium to account for the wind potential. Large hail is possible but remains a lower threat. Storms should weaken later today, but another round could move through southern Arkansas Sunday morning. Stay with the Arkansas Storm Team for updates.
