Strong storms possible Sunday

A warming trend into next week

Expect a few periods of unsettled weather to take place through the weekend, with several dry hours in between. We’ll see a chance for showers developing this afternoon and continuing into this evening. Partial clearing takes place overnight, followed by partly sunny and warm conditions for your Sunday.

Look for another round of showers and a few thunderstorms by afternoon, some of which could become strong to severe. A FIRST ALERT DAY will be in effect from Noon to 8 p.m. The Storm Prediction Center has put much of the region at a Level 1 to Level 2 risk.
