ARIZONA, USA — Eggs sold in Arizona are being recalled after a Salmonella outbreak, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The CDC said the eggs, from August Egg Company, were recalled on June 6 . Recalled products include organic and cage-free brown eggs.
The egg company said 79 people in seven states had gotten sick and 21 had been hospitalized. No deaths have been reported.
The eggs were sold in Arizona, California, Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Washington and Wyoming.
The egg company said around 1,700,000 are being recalled.
