BEATRICE, Neb. (News Channel Nebraska) - Part of operating a city is quality of life, and one of the ways a southeast Nebraska Community is tackling that is through an upgrade of playgrounds in its parks and neighborhoods. The City of Beatrice is using a $955,000 Rural Community Recovery Program grant …a post-Covid program aimed at helping communities make improvements.

Froberry Park in south Beatrice and the east area of Chautauqua Park will soon get new playground equipment. City Administrator Tobias Tempelmeyer said the city sought grant support, knowing that today’s playgrounds that comply with federal accessibility law, cost much more.
