PITTSBURGH (WTAE) - An investigation is underway after a patient at a Pittsburgh hospital waited for hours in a hallway to be transferred to another facility.
The patient’s daughter, Rae Corrado, said she was at the second facility expecting her mother, but there was another patient in the bed.
“I ran back and I said, ‘That’s not my mom,’” Corrado said.
However, she said hospital staff told her that the patient was indeed her mother, as stated on the wristband.
“I said, ‘I don’t care what it says. It’s not my mom,’” she said she told hospital staff.
According to Corrado, she didn’t know what was going on as the woman lying in her mother’s hospital bed was a stranger wearing her mom’s hospital band.
“She didn’t even know her name. She didn’t know where she was,” Corrado said about the
