FREMONT — A Warren, Ohio, man sustained serious injuries from a two-vehicle accident in Sandusky County on Saturday afternoon.

Trevor Burkholder, 42, was transported to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo with serious injuries. The 1:26 p.m. crash occurred northwest of Fremont, according to an Ohio State Highway Patrol news release.

Highway patrol investigators said that Mr. Burkholder was eastbound on U.S. 20 in the left lane, then moved over to the right lane and went off the roadway. As he drove his car back onto U.S. 20, it collided with a small truck driven by Joshua Brink, 47, of Fremont.

Mr. Burkholder’s car went off the federal highway a second time following that collision. It struck a tree and overturned, the patrol said.
