HOUSTON (KIAH) — The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a heat advisory for Southeast Texas for today. High temperatures and heat index values are expected to reach extreme levels.
High temperatures will range from 91-97 away from the coast. With high humidity, heat index values could reach 101-109. As a result, there is a high risk of heat-related illnesses.
Everyone should be aware of the risks and know the signs of heat illness. With any heat advisory, it is imperative that you stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities.
