SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - The 185th Air Refueling Wing in Sioux City is getting a new commander on Sunday, June 8.

Current Wing Commander, Col. Sonya Morrison, is departing for Washington, D.C. She will join the team at Andrews Air Force Base and as Air National Guard Readiness Center Inspector General.

Col. Morrison says this new role will allow her to visit bases across the country and ensure the Air National Guard is ready to deploy when needed.

Replacing Col. Morrison will be Iowa Air National Guard Col. Adam ‘Ace’ Carlson. He’ll become the 185th Wing Commander during a Change of Command ceremony on Sunday. That ceremony will be available in the video player above once it starts at 1 p.m. Sunday.
