I am very disappointed at the rush to characterize the attack in Boulder as antisemitic. This is a huge oversimplification of a complex situation and allows everyone to clear their conscience in regard to Israeli/Palestine politics. Nothing about this situation is good guys/bad guys. But to understand it requires that one look into the story of how and why Israel came to be and how it has behaved since being created. It also requires that one understand the nature of trauma and the damage it leaves when untreated. It may also require a dive into the nature of Judaism and the precepts and beliefs to be found in the most extreme branches of its practices such as Zionism.
