The Greenville Zoo has a new baby giraffe.

Autumn gave birth just after 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to a City of Greenville and Greenville Zoo social media post.

"Baby is alert and standing," according to the post.

A medical exam on June 9 will determine height, weight, and sex.

A Greenville Zoo social media post on May 28 announced that the "stork" was planning a visit to the Greenville Zoo !

Autumn, a 19-year-old Masai giraffe, was pregnant and expected to give birth to a new calf soon. This isn't Autumn's first. It's her seventh.
