WEBB COUNTY, Tex. (KGNS) - The Webb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a case of animal cruelty involving the shooting of multiple cows .
The incident occurred in May 2025 at a ranch in the La Moca subdivision, located off Hwy 83 in northern Webb County.
A rancher contacted the sheriff’s office after discovering that two of his cattle had been shot dead, and four others were left wounded.
Webb County Sheriff Martin Cuellar stated that killing a livestock animal is classified as a state felony, and those responsible may face up to one year in prison.
He stressed the importance of reporting these types of crimes to his office, stating, “We want people to report it. We want people to advise us if they heard any type of firearm going off around the Moca area. We’re gonna interview
