WYNNE, Ark. (WMC) - A man who was dishonorably discharged from the U.S. Navy for extremist conduct will spend the next 12 years in prison after the FBI found a slew of firearms, tactical gear, Nazi paraphernalia and more at his home in Wynne, Arkansas.

The U.S. Department of Justice announced Monday that 26-year-old James Charles Hart has been sentenced to 12 years in federal prison plus three years of supervised release.

The Navy discharged Hart in August 2021 following his convictions for advocating for supremacist and extremist ideologies, larceny of military property, and selling firearms without a license.

The DOJ says Hart promoted the killing of military personnel and encouraged others to join the movement. His convictions made it unlawful for him to possess a firearm.
