LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A man wanted for allegedly showing harmful material to a minor in Bruni, Texas, turned himself in on Monday, June 9, according to the Webb County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office says its Special Victims Unit began looking into the case on April 28 after getting a delayed report of indecency with a child. The report said the man had watched an explicit video while a child was in the room.

After speaking with the man, named Oscar Rios, 39, the case was sent to the Webb County District Attorney’s Office. The DA found enough reason to move forward with charges. A judge then gave the okay for an arrest warrant.

Rios was charged with one count of showing harmful material to a minor, a Class A misdemeanor. His bond was set at $10,000.
