BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - Police are investigating the possible theft of a dozen recently released popular Nintendo Switch 2 game consoles that were never delivered to the Boardman Walmart.

Twelve Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World Bundles and one Nintendo Switch 2 controller, valued at a combined $6,072, were ordered by customers of Doral Drive Walmart but didn’t make it to the store. Switch 2, released by Nintendo early Thursday, is so popular that eager gamers lined up at the Boardman Best Buy and Game Stop hours early to be among the first to buy one.

According to the report, a delivery driver picked up 14 online orders for local delivery on Wednesday morning. Only one of the 14 deliveries was completed, according to store officials.
