RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Conner Fogal meets us up at UNR in the late morning.
This is the same place where we first met just after he testified in front of a Nevada Assembly Committee in hopes they would pass the “Right to Repair” bill.
He would appear again in front of a senate committee where he says he got a surge of optimism.
“It was a senator on the right that gave his own story of a friend who was basically in the same boat as I was,” says Fogal.
Diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy since birth, Fogal has used a wheelchair his entire life.
At one point he had to wait six months for his chair to be repaired by the manufacturer. He says his life was turned upside down.
And his story was not unique. The wait could go as long as a year. Which means separation from work, friends and family.
