Two people were arrested in connection with a missing child who was identified in a since-canceled Amber Alert in Delaware, police said.

Maryland State Police joined an investigation in Delaware after an Amber Alert was canceled over a false report, authorities said.

Darrian Randle, 31, and Cedrick Antoine Britten, 44, of North East, are both in custody. Randle is charged with first- and second-degree murder, first degree of child abuse resulting in death of a minor under 13 and other charges. Britten is facing charges as an accessory to first- and second-degree murder and other charges.

On Tuesday, police in Delaware issued an Amber Alert for Nola Dinkins, 3, after her mother told police the child was kidnapped at gunpoint.
